Spectrum Solar

Residential solar installation

Rooftop and ground-mount systems sized to your home. Permits and utility approval included.

Sized to your usage

Sized to your usage

We design your system from your last 12 months of electric bills and your roof's orientation and shading. You get one written price covering design, permits, install, and interconnection, and you see the layout before anything is ordered.

  • Designed from your real usage
  • Rooftop and ground-mount options
  • One written price
Battery backup

Battery backup

A home battery keeps your refrigerator, outlets, and select AC running when the grid goes down. Add one to a new system or to solar you already have.

  • Automatic backup during outages
  • Add to a new system or retrofit existing solar
  • Sized to the circuits you actually need covered

How your system works

Sun to panels to your home, with the extra going to the grid for credit.

  1. Sunlight

Panels produce whenever there's daylight — even overcast days make power, just less of it.

  2. Your panels

The array turns sunlight into DC power; the inverter converts it to the AC your home runs on.

  3. Your home

Your house uses solar power first, so every kilowatt-hour produced is one you don't buy.

  4. The grid

Extra production flows to the utility for net metering credit; at night you draw from the grid as usual.

How an install goes

Four steps from quote to power-on.

1

Site assessment

We review your usage, roof, and shading — remotely first, then on-site to confirm.

2

System design

Our engineers size the array, pick equipment, and give you one written price.

3

Permits & approvals

We file with your city and utility and handle HOA paperwork. You sign; we chase it.

4

Install & power-on

Most residential installs take one to two days. We schedule inspection and interconnection.

Ways to pay

Every quote shows the options side by side — compare monthly cost against ownership.

Cash

Own the system outright from day one and skip financing costs entirely.

  • Lowest lifetime cost
  • Full ownership of the system
  • No monthly payment

Best for: Homeowners who want the best long-term return

Solar loan

Own the system with little or nothing down and pay it off over time.

  • You own the system
  • Payment can be sized against your current electric bill
  • Pay off early without penalty on most programs

Best for: Homeowners who want ownership without the upfront cost

Solar lease

The provider owns the system on your roof; you pay a fixed monthly payment to use it.

  • Little or nothing down
  • Flat, predictable monthly payment
  • Maintenance stays the provider's responsibility

Best for: Homeowners who want solar without owning equipment

PPA

A power purchase agreement: the provider owns the system and you pay a set per-kWh rate for the power it actually produces.

  • Little or nothing down
  • Pay only for the power the system produces
  • Maintenance stays the provider's responsibility

Best for: Homeowners who want to buy the power, not the panels

Common questions

How long does an installation take?

Most residential solar installs take one to two days on the roof. The full timeline — design, permits, utility approval — depends on your city and utility; we handle all of that paperwork and keep you posted at each step.

Will solar work with my roof?

We design around your specific roof — orientation, shading, and structure. If your roof needs work first, our roofing crew can handle the reroof and the solar install as one coordinated job.

What happens during a power outage?

Solar alone shuts off during an outage for utility-worker safety. Add battery storage and your essential circuits — refrigerator, outlets, select AC — keep running automatically until the grid is back.

What warranty do you offer?

Panels and inverters carry a 25-year manufacturer equipment warranty. We put it in writing with your quote.

How can I pay for a system?

Cash, a solar loan, or a lease/PPA. Your quote shows the options side by side so you can compare monthly cost against ownership.

Do you handle permits and HOA paperwork?

Yes. We file with your city and utility and prepare HOA submissions. You sign; we chase approvals.
